How to prepare: a readiness guide
A step-by-step checklist for getting a meaningful readiness result the first time.
The quality of your readiness result depends on the invoice you upload. These six steps make sure it is representative, honest and useful.
Six steps to a reliable result
Follow them in order:
- Pick a representative invoice. Choose a normal sales invoice that reflects how you actually bill. Avoid special cases such as credits or intercompany transfers.
- Choose your format. PDF is always accepted. If your ERP can export XML (UBL/PINT-OM), JSON, CSV or XLSX, that gives the assessment more structured data to work with.
- Check the basics first. Make sure the invoice has an invoice number, a date, supplier and buyer names and identifiers, a clear currency, and totals that add up.
- Run the assessment. Start the free assessment, consent to processing, and upload your file. No account required.
- Read the findings, not just the score. The score is a headline. Open each finding for the observed value, expected condition and remediation so you know exactly what to fix.
- Fix gaps and re-test. Adjust the invoice data or your systems, then re-run the assessment to confirm the gaps close.
What makes a good sample
Gather a sample that matches your real operation:
- Your typical product or service lines
- Your real legal entity and tax identifiers
- Normal currencies and price formats
- The same export your ERP would produce
Know your systems
Before you start, find out which software produces your invoices, what versions you run, and whether it can export XML or a spreadsheet. This information makes the optional questionnaire and any follow-up consultation far more useful.
Interpreting your result
Your result is a product-readiness indicator, not a legal percentage:
- 0–39 Significant gaps — start with the highest-severity findings.
- 60–79 Progressing — close the remaining gaps and re-test.
- 95–100 High readiness — keep validating as the rule set evolves.
Note: This guide is practical advice about using the service, not legal or tax advice. Confirm compliance matters with official sources.
